AWT Community Awards
Each year, we recognize Outstanding Executives and Rising Stars across the nation within Technology.
The success of this much anticipated event is through nominations of these amazing women by you! Through your nomination, we curate an amazing Gala night celebrating all nominees where the Community Awards Selection Committee recognizing 3 Outstanding Executives and 3 Rising Stars during the event!
Amid a shortage of women pursuing technology-related degrees, and technology careers in general, AWT is committed to recognizing women who have chosen to enter the tech industry and are making great strides with achievements in key competencies such as collaboration, creativity, innovation, leadership, and transformation.
Winners are announced and recognized each year at the AWT Annual Recognition & Fundraising Gala event.
Nomination submissions are now closed for 2025, but we look forward to opening up our Community Awards Program around the summer of 2026.

Rising stars and outstanding executives
Do you know someone who embodies the essence of a Rising Star or an Outstanding Executive in Tech?
Candidates for both award categories may be nominated by a co-worker, business colleague, or any individual knowledgeable of the nominee’s qualifications for this recognition.

Outstanding Executives
Women who are in senior-level management positions and have been in the technology field for 10+ years. Outstanding executives are highly successful, community-driven, constantly finding ways to pay it forward, and give back to the community.

Rising Stars
Women who are in beginning or mid-level management positions, who demonstrate true potential for success in their field and constantly challenge themselves to step outside of their comfort zone.
ElIgibility for an outstanding executive or A Rising star are simply:
- Candidates may be nominated by a co-worker, business colleague, manager, or any individual knowledgeable of the nominee’s qualifications for this recognition.
- Candidate must reside from United States.
- Candidate has a technology-centric role, responsibility, and/or position.
- Available to attend the evening event in Orange County, CA (Highly Encouraged but Not Required).
- Prior Winners not eligible.
