What is mindfulness and how can it help me at work and home?
Advancing Women in Technology (AWT)’s informative discussion on Mindfulness in the Workplace covered why companies like Aetna, McKinsey, Proctor & Gamble and Apple are implementing mindfulness programs for their employees. The event provided techniques on how you can incorporate mindfulness into your daily work and home life.
Our workshop leaders included Barbara Vanek, Sr. Manager, IT, Hoag Hospital, experienced meditation instructor and member of the Costa Mesa OC Shambhala Center, and Laura Mascheroni, attorney and mindfulness coach. Together Barbara and Laura provided guidance on mindfulness techniques for work and home. They also share ways to stay focused on the process including using a smart phone app.
