- about us
Thanks to our wonderful mentors and a highly engaged group of attendees, we are very proud to announce that our first mentoring and networking event was a big hit. We’re already hearing back from so many attendees who enjoyed listening to and learning from our volunteer executive mentors. Held on May 25 at Cisco’s Irvine campus, the event included structured networking and small group mentoring for men and women in technology.
In addition to networking with others, attendees were able to rotate as part of a small group through a variety of executive mentors. During each rotation, they asked their own questions while also learning from the questions of other attendees in the small group.
There were a lot of great reactions from attendees including:
“Thank you for sharing your story and experiences rising through the IT world. It was inspiring and educational. ‘Having mentors and networking’ os the top tip I gleaned from you!”
“I really enjoyed meeting everyone at the AWT event. It was great to hear everyone’s stories about career success in IT – would love to hear more!”
“Thank you to everyone for sharing so many powerful experiences and personal thoughts. Hearing those stories of success makes me feel empowered to approach my challenges one at a time and with confidence!”
